A Tax Identification Number (TIN) is a personal number identifier issued by fiscal authorities in countries where you're a tax resident. To get started with your Free Credit Card, we'll need your Tax Identification Number. If you have more than one, make sure to provide all of them during the signup process.

Are you a tax resident of the European Economic Area (EEA)? Learn the name of your tax identification number and where you can locate it here. ❗️ Keep in mind that you need to provide your TIN for every country where you're a tax resident, even if that country is out of EEA. Where can I find my tax identification number?
1️⃣ On the document you get from the Bundeszentralamt für Steuern, after you register your address for the first time, as “Persönliche Identificationsnummer”
2️⃣ On your pay slip (Gehaltsabrechnung) as “Steuer ID”
3️⃣ On your salary tax statement (Lohnsteuerbescheinigung) as “Identifikationsnummer”
4️⃣ On your income tax report (Steuerbescheid) as “IdNr”
5️⃣ On your Entgeltabrechnung
6️⃣ Your employer and your tax advisor know your tax ID. Ask them.
7️⃣ You can request information about your TIN at the German Tax Authorities's website here. It'll take around 4 weeks for them to provide you with it.
