You may be seeing many duplicates in your tricounts on your Android devices from January 16, 2026. 

The issue was linked to a tricount app release. If you still see duplicate names, contact support@tricount.com for help with your case.

Why am I seeing name duplicates of my tricount friends? 

An issue with our latest tricount app version is causing extra names to appear in tricounts on Android devices. Therefore, you may see duplicate names of your friends in your tricounts. 

What can I do? 

Before deleting or reinstalling tricount, contact support@tricount.com to check how to protect your data and regain access. Reinstalling may remove data stored on your device. Describe the duplicate names you see and mention that you use Android. Never share passwords or verification codes.
